The Olde House is a stately four bedroom Oceanfront heritage home, which has been recently relocated and completely renovated. Sitting majestically on the cliff-side of Browns Cape in Little Pond, P.E.I., this fabulous home overlooks the beautiful Northumberland Strait.
This home has been owned and lovingly nurtured by the MacDonald Family since it was built in 1888. The Olde House retains its historical charm, while providing all the conveniences of a modern family home.
Guests can enjoy relaxing on the wrap around deck while listening to the gentle sound of the waves, or leisurely swing in the hammock while being serenaded by the songs of seabirds as they return to their nesting sites in the sloping sandstone cliffs.
Nestled within a 90 acre wildlife protection area, this home provides guests with privacy and peacefulness, as well as the ability to interact and commune with nature. The picturesque views include a collage of the famous red island soil fields, the cool blue water of the strait and a proliferation of greenery.
The property provides a stairway, which allows guests access to the peaceful shore. Summary: The Olde House in PEI is a fabulous place to stay. The hosts could not have been kinder or more helpful. Very hospitable and available to answer any questions. This waterfront property was spotlessly clean and comfortably furnished with all the necessary amenities. It was a most relaxing stay. We highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit PEI.

Summary: The property was even better than in the pictures and Nancy and Bill were the ultimate hosts, helping us out when we had car troubles. The location is lovely, so close to Sally's Beach (Provincial Park) that we could walk there during low tide. 20 minutes to Souris, 40 minutes to Montague. It made a great home base while we explored the island. Wonderful holiday!

Summary: We had a wonderful holiday using the olde house as our base. We came to be near Michael Smith ‘s inn at Bay Fortune, to enjoy fireworks feast. Not surprisingly, we are pretty good cooks. This was the best equipped kitchen in a house we have ever rented. The beach is not easily swimmable, but Grams beach is a long walk or short drive away, and it is stunning( and empty) at low tide. the hostess is fabulous, warm and helpful.

Summary: We booked this cottage for a 3-generation vacation in the first week of July 2018, and we had a perfect time here. The house was plenty big enough for the 8 of us, and the location can't be beat for families who want a PEI vacation without all the commercial hullabaloo (and crowds) of Cavendish Beach. We walked on the quiet beaches, gathered sea glass, swam, canoe/kayaked, had campfires, and sat on the deck and admired the view. The cottage is the most well-equipped one we have ever rented: there was every kitchen implement you could wish for, and the knives were sharp and the pots serious. The beds were all very comfortable, and the whole place is beautifully decorated. There was a generous supply of linens, towels (both bath and beach), paper towel and toilet paper. The hammock and the bonus outdoor shower were a big hit with the kids in particular.While the 4-year-old had no trouble with the stairs down to the beach, the adult awaiting knee surgery did, so generally we either drove the 10 minutes to Sally's Beach (best for sea glass collecting) or the two minutes to Gram's Beach (best for wading and swimming, especially at low tide!)---at the former we occasionally saw one or two other families, at the latter we were always the only folks there.We drove in to Charlottetown one day to see the Anne of Green Gables musical (highly recommended), and it was an easy drive. Another place the kids (ages 4, 6 and 8) LOVED was the amazing playgrounds and woods walk at Kings Castle Provincial Park, another not-too-crowded PEI location.Our hosts were also perfect. Attentive and responsive when we had questions, but never intrusive. We would definitely rent here again.

Summary: This place is a hidden gem. Perfect place to get away from the city & relax. Landlord (Nancy) is a very nice person, she make sure we are like at our home. It's next to the beach, you can catch lobster or crab easily.

We enjoyed a relaxing week watching the tide come in and out, great walks on the beach directly in front of the property and catching the sun from decks on three sides of the house. Nancy the owner was so friendly and helpful. She directed us to the nearby town of Souris where we found everything we needed , especially some great PEI seafood! Highly recommend this beautiful location.

Summary: We stayed at this very comfortable spacious home last summer and loved every minute. Here is just a few things that our family loved… The outdoor shower was a big hit ~ The big deck with lots of chairs was very inviting for anyone to enjoy the wonderful views ~ The WiFi was a great asset to have ~ The kayaking was a lot of fun not to mention the many walks on the beach. This property is a wonderful get-away for any family to enjoy.

Summary: We stayed here for a week in the summer of 2016. The home and property are beautiful. You can actually hear the waves crashing on the shore below. We ran out of propane for the BBQ and the owner had someone come in less than 10 minutes. I would recommend this spot to others for sure.
